SCIENCE NORTH

As many of you know, our chapter has made some interesting arrangements with Science North. All our general meetings are now held in the Ramsey Room (upstairs) starting at 12:30 p.m. after the social time.

Elements, the 1st Floor eatery across from the Laamanen Room, has offered a special to all CARP members prior to our general meetings. One can have a soup or salad and a sandwich for only $7 (taxes included), or 10% off any item on the menu if you show your CARP membership card. So for $7.00 you can enjoy a wonderful lunch at Elements then cross the hall to the Laamanen Room for our meeting.

Our social time from now on will be held prior to the meeting. Coffee or tea will be available by 12:30 noon.

DISCOUNTS, DISCOUNTS, DISCOUNTS:

Science North is now offering CARP members a 20% discount to a regular admission to Science Centre and at Dynamic Earth.The 20% discount represents about a $4 discount for most adults. Anyone who is over 65 is able to apply their 20% discount to the senior rates that we have.

If someone is coming in with a large group, if the person purchasing all of the tickets is a CARP member, they can apply the discount to all of the tickets that they are buying. This dis-count is not applicable to memberships which are already at a high value. All CARP members throughout Canada are eligible for these discounts.
